Laurel Creek Studio

Laurel Creek Studio, founded in 2001 by Craig and Linda Sponseller, is a testament to their shared passion for art and nature. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Western North Carolina, the studio specializes in artwork that celebrates the region’s diverse flora and fauna. Combining the timeless techniques of pointillism and watercolor, Laurel Creek Studio offers pieces that capture the intricate beauty of the natural world.

Craig Sponseller, the artist behind the studio, has pursued his passion for art from a young age. At just eight years old, he began art classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art, laying the foundation for a lifetime of creative exploration. In middle school, Craig received a scholarship to the Cooper School of Art, where he studied life drawing and anatomy.  After high school, Craig earned a degree in Fine and Professional Arts, majoring in Graphic Design, from Kent State University.
